 I am happy to say that I was in Frassanelle the fourth time this year – from the second to the tenth of January 2010. It was the second time in winter, next to a vacation in spring 2009 and in late autumn. So now I know the site in all seasons and believe it or not: wintertime is very special. The quietness of the nature, the snowy light and the very special colours of the scene are very refreshing for the soul.

Again I visited the museums in Padua and Vicenza and – best of all – the superb exhibition of the great painter Giorgione in Castelfranco – less than one hour in distance. But not only the highlights are so special, it is the unique quiet atmosphere in Frassanelle during all seasons that invites the guest just to stay and feel at home, to sit in front of the enormous fireplace that dates back to the origin of the building: 1771! – and to read, dream or to enjoy a glass of wine (better: share a bottle with someone) from the region.

There are so many vineyards in the area which are worth visiting. We walked a lot, not only in the romantic park but also in the nearby hills, and by the way, we enjoyed the local Bar every day in the morning for a latte macchiato and a wonderful refreshing spremuta. And having one of the restaurants in walking distance is also very helpful – you can have a good glass of wine without being forced to drive after dinner.

With its outstanding architecture and the huge surrounding park Frassanelle offers a wide range of activities – not only in summer – but also during the darker month from November to February. So I am very glad to come to Frassanelle again in spring – now it is already like coming home!

Nous avons tout aimé ce lieu, si bien choisi par Clélia et Diego, la beauté des batiments,leur age vénérable, les bois environnants, le gout avec lequel vous avez décoré toutes ces maisons...
Merci encore de nous avoir permis de venir si nombreuses continuer la fete le landemain. Nous nous sommes sentis chez nous à la Lieta et heureuse d’accueillir notre famille et nos amis. Il y a quelques jours j’ai rencontré madame Katharina Alles Trauttmannsdorff avec laquelle j’ai eu la joie d’échanger sur votre magnifique domaine de Frassanelle. J’éspère que vous suivez à conserver à ces lieux sa magie et sa beauté. Signora Francesca, veuillez recevoir l’expression de mes meilleurs sentiments et s’il vous plait saluez pour nous tous la Signora Saba et la Signor Anna qui ont eu tout de patience avec nous.

We had such a lovely stay - the suite of rooms fit our needs so marvelously. The region is beautiful, and if we had had an older set we would have seen even more - Verona, Padova ...but our days were full, and we were happy - the pool, the weather - all was grand.

It is a magical spot and we feel very fortunate to have found it. Thanks for creating an incredible place.

Frassanelle is a beautiful estate and Bencontenta was the perfect venue for the wedding and for our friends and their children to spend the week together. It more than catered for all of our needs which meant that everybody was able to fully relax & enjoy themselves. We would recommend Bencontenta to anyone thinking of marrying in Italy . It is a very comfortable, relaxing & romantic location for a wedding. We're so pleased we found it!

I also wanted to mention how fantastic Saba is. I keep hearing from friends how helpful she was to everyone during our stay & on the wedding day. She is a lovely lady! We should be receiving the professional photos from Anna shortly but have attached a few photos taken by my uncle.
